Need help with adding environmental variables to res shield

Postby daveywave » Thu Sep 01, 2011 7:36 am

Our in house development team uses clickonce deployments which typically will install in the user profile directory. Specifically c:\documents and settings\USERNAME\local settings\apps\2.0\* so we added an environmental variable to the excluded list in the resident shield. Specifically we added "%userprofile%\local settings\apps\2.0\" and it appears this location is not being ignored because it is still picking up our in house apps as potential viruses.

Is the string correct? Does AVG support these environmental variables (%userprofile%)?

Thanks in advance

That's a good question - there are no mentions in the AVG KB. I'll ask someone about it...

Hello,

I talked to our developers and as of this time there is no way of adding environmental variables to Resident Shield as of this time.
I will see if this is something we can add to a program update/upgrade in the future.
