AVG Spam filter, Exchange server 2007

Postby rafther » Tue May 31, 2011 7:31 am

Hi All,

I have just started working with AVG spam filter on exchange server and was hoping someone could give me a little help.

I have two issues at the minute our spam filter is catching all email addresses with a dot between the firstname and secondname i.e. john.doe@gmail.com
how can i stop this?

The other issue is how can i add a particular company address to the whitelist?
I have tried adding @companyname.com to the whitelist but this does not work.

Any help would be great as im going through about 700 spam mails a day and this would let most of the good emails that are caught through.

Thanks for any info.

Not sure about your first question, but the second one is simple - just leave off the "@": http://www.avg.com/us-en/faq.num-3486#num-3486
